A practical 30-day SEO sprint for Indonesian SMEs
You don't need a year-long retainer to start ranking. Here's a focused month of work that moves the needle for small businesses.
SEO has a reputation for being slow and abstract. For a small business, that's mostly because the work is unfocused. Compress it into a deliberate 30-day sprint and you'll see movement.
Week 1 — Foundation
- Run a crawl (Screaming Frog's free tier is enough for most SME sites).
- Fix the basics: a sane title/description on every page, one H1, an XML sitemap, and HTTPS everywhere.
- Check Core Web Vitals on mobile. Compress images — it's usually the single biggest win.
Week 2 — Intent mapping
- List the 10–15 searches a ready-to-buy customer would actually type.
- Map each to a page. Missing pages become your content backlog.
- Steal structure shamelessly: search each term, note what the top results all include, and cover it better.
Week 3 — Content
- Write or rewrite your three highest-intent pages. Answer the question in the first paragraph, then go deep.
- Add an FAQ block targeting "people also ask" questions — these win snippets.
Week 4 — Trust & local
- Claim and complete your Google Business Profile. For local SMEs this is often higher-leverage than the website.
- Earn 3–5 genuine reviews and two relevant local backlinks.
Thirty days won't make you dominate. But it builds the foundation that compounds — and unlike ads, it keeps working after you stop paying.
